EnTech Taiwan released a new version of its Powerstrip Software. The new version v2.30 adds a color temperature control for desktop publishers, bolstered NT DPMS support, and refresh rates up to 200Hz for the Permedia2 under NT. 16bpp TNT color calibration is now supported under NT as well as Windows 9x, and there is a new switch that adjusts the DAC gamma ramp to match chromaticity information obtained directly from the monitor. Slashdot has a information about XFree86 3.3.3 and NVIDIA. It speaks that NVIDIA insisted to withdraw two source files from the driver that they had supplied to them and replace some other source files with versions that were partly run through the C preprocessor.
