| 17.03.98 -F22 ADF framerate |
| The Nvidea OpenGL Beta driver is a lot faster with F22
ADF than standard drivers. Itīs known that these drivers are faster with D3D but not in this amount. The slower framerate concerns all Riva cards / drivers. It seems that DID optimized the Riva support for the new Nvidia driver. Try the Nvidia driver and set Midmap level to 0 to get best performance. |
| 16.03.98 -F22 ADF patch |
| DID has released the patch for F22 ADF. Take a look at the homepage of DID or if you are using netscape (recommended <g>) at the Wardogz homepage. DID made a special thing for that patch. After a first test I have to say that the patched game is absolut slow. Your Mipmap level setting should be set to 0 ( with a tweak software ) to get acceptable framerate with hardware acceleration. |

Too AGP 2x transfers are supported. It is uncertain whether it will also give versions with PCI. A ZX card from ELSA is expected for June. Too the current RIVA chip will gain by the new developed ZX drivers. These offer a better image quality and a higher frame rate. Ato the end of the year appears the RIVA 128 / DVD with integrated DVD decoder. After this follows the actual successor the RIVA 128. These will be more than 4 times
