| After the problems with the last driver release ELSA
posted a new driver version today including display drivers and a new WINman Suite with new videoIN drivers. Now you have a correct video image and the teletext decoder does also work. The problem with reading the Elsa-3D settings is also fixed. There´s also a new driver for Windows NT4.

| S3 filed
a patent infringement suit against Nvidia
today in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, claiming that Nvidia infringed upon three separate video patents in developing its Riva family of graphics processors. The suit seeks damages as well as a permanent injunction that would bar future distribution of Riva processors. The suit could be the first in a wave of actions from once-mighty S3 against its competitors, in as much as it relates to patents the company acquired from Cirrus in January. asked Nvidia about the antialiasing support in the OpenGL beta2 reference drivers. Dwight Diercks from Nvidia said the following: "Originally we
implemented edge based AA in our drivers. A combination of Microsoft and PCMag determined
that this was not how AA was intended to be done within D3D. We then removed the edge
based AA put in full scene AA which has much better AA quality but at the expense of
speed. |

D3D. There´s only software rendering and 3dfx support. The final release will have Direct 3D support. The demo was too large to test it and I did´nt see the hint in the FAQ :-(. I´ll give you a hint in future if I did´nt test a demo. |
