Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 64MB - KYRO II (11/15)

Quake3 Arena v1.17 (OpenGL + HW Transform)

Pentium 4 1500MHz - 16Bit Color Depth

Pentium 4 1500MHz - 32Bit Color Depth

As the timedemo, I used the standard Demo001. Settings: The 16Bit results were reached with the Q3 preset "Normal", while the 32Bit scores were reached with the "High Quality" setting with maximum texture details enabled.

In Q3, the GTS is the almost undisputed ruler. Yet especially in 32Bit the Prophet 4500 is fast on its heels and can even pass it in the high resolutions, albeit barely. RADEON comes in third in 32Bit with the MX in its meanwhile customary last place. On a side note, I was quite disappointed with the RADEON’s bad scores in low 16Bit resolutions.

Athlon 1200MHz - 16Bit Color Depth

Athlon 1200Hz - 32Bit Color Depth

We get the same distribution of scores on the Athlon system. We also see that a P4 seems to be the better processor for Q3 around 800x600-16.
