Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 64MB - KYRO II (8/15)

Mercedes Benz Truck Racing v1.0.9 (Direct X7)

Pentium 4 1500MHz - 16Bit Color Depth

Pentium 4 1500MHz - 32Bit Color Depth

In 16Bit we see the ranking that one would expect from these cards: The GTS leading the RADEON, closely followed by the Prophet 4500. The MX is once again left in the dust. This is where we can see the MX's lack of texture units really hurting its performance. MBTR makes heavy use of multi-texturing effects in the game. In 32Bit, however, we see this ranking suddenly reversed! The Prophet 4500 trailed by the RADEON and then the GTS, with the MX once again chugging along in their wake. Interestingly, the Prophet 4500 seems to have some problems with this game. It refused to run at 1600x1200 regardless of color depth. I wondered whether this might be related to texture size, but the 32MB RADEON ran the test fine.

Athlon 1200MHz - 16Bit Color Depth

Athlon 1200Hz - 32Bit Color Depth

Once again, the Athlon shows a similar picture. This run was more problematic, though, as the RADEON refused to cooperate with the AMD 760 chipset, quitting the benchmark after a maximum of 10 seconds regardless of resolution. The GTS and MX were also unstable, but in the end I was able to some results from them. Interestingly, the Prophet 4500 ran flawlessly, aside from the same trouble with the 1600x1200 setting I had on the Intel system.
