You know, this is in a way refreshing. In light of framerates of around 200fps in Quake 3, you do start to wonder what you really need a faster 3D card for. Aquanox shows us what we have to expect from upcoming Xbox / DirectX 8 titles that use the new features to the fullest. Suddenly we’re back to the meager 25-30fps. In 16Bit color, the non-T&L Prophet 4500 comes in last. In 32Bit it can barely fight its way past the MX, but is still far behind the GTS and the RADEON.

Different platform, similar results. That’s pretty much all there is to say. The Prophet 4500 had some problems with visual artifacts at 1600x1200-32, but this also happened on the P4 platform.
