Tekram (Hall 13, F62)

Tekram showed their new SCSI controller series. The new SCSI-3 Host Adapters DC-390U3D and DC-390U3W allow tranfer rates of up to 160MB/sec. With the DC-315 they now offer a cheap SCSI solution for the G3 MAC. The PCI Raid controllers DC-922 and DC-923 can be equipped with up to 128MB cache.

< Athlon mainboard

The mainboard sector was present with the new INTEL I820 based mainboard P682-A with RAMBUS memory. A prototype of a VIA KX-133 based Athlon Mainboard was also shown.

 

Abit (Hall 13, A51)

Abit showed their new Siluro graphics cards with NVIDIA TNT2 and GeForce. The cards are based on the NVIDIA reference design - both equipped with a DVI connector. The TNT2 card uses an older DVI connector plug. The GeForce card is only available in a SDRAM version yet. A DDR Version is not planed at the moment but Abit is ready to go with NV11 and NV15 cards when it starts.

Abit also showed their Linux engagement in a special Abit Linux version called Gentus. These is based on a Red Hat Linux distribution but comes with support of all Abit hardware. The new I820 Camino Boards were also shown. Intel stops the BX production this month.

 

ELSA (Hall 9, C62)

ELSA presented their own German Internet access and showed the new wireless LAN technology and Bluetooth Modems. The wireless LAN technology allows networking with up to 11 Mbit/s. On graphics related site they showed their GeForce cards Erazor X and X². The high end CAD sector was dominated by the Gloria II based on NVIDIA.
As a new product they were able to show the new Erazor X GeForce PCI. The 32MB card will be equipped with a DVI connector. The standard VESA connector for a 3D shutter glasses won´t be available on the final card.

Lancom Wireless

Besides of this one could take a look on the new version v3.5 of the video editing software MainActor. In a small NDA room ELSA demonstrated some new technologies which are in development. You can see real 3D without any shutter glasses on a 18" TFT display that uses an eye-tracking system. Another highlight was a 3D Home Video solution which allows everybody to make 3D movies with a simple video camera and view them with Shutter Glasses in 3D on PC. But there are no release-dates for those yet.
