Creative (Hall 9, D72) The main attractions on the Creative booth were multimedia products like the MP3 Player DAP II MG (In USA and ASIA known as "NOMAD"). Besides of this they showed the actual 3D Blaster VGA series based on NVIDIA GeForce and the soundcard series Sound Blaster Live! & co. I got information that Creative plans to build a new PCI card. The card will be based on a NVIDIA Vanta Chip. It is thought to come as a low cost upgrade solution for older PC´s.
Guillemot (Hall 9, D71) Guillemot showed their full product line of Force Feedback gamecontrollers, sound- and graphic cards. Pretty interesting was the presentation of the Cougar Video Edition (M64) with special video capture capabilities and the soundsystem MAXI Studio ISIS.
Cyber Home (Hall 13, F62) Cyber Home comes with new Audio/Video Hifi products on the market. Their first product are two DVD players that are manufatured in Ratingen at Tekram. The special thing here is that they use standard PC Cyberdrive DVD players. So you can also play CDR´s and CDRW´s in those players without any problems. This is important for the larger model AD-M 510 (about DM 600,-) which can also play MP3 CD´s. Additional features are dts/AC-3 digital output. The small player AD-N 212 can´t play MP3 and only has a standard Stereo audio output. It is allready available for about DM 399,-. The decoding of the MPEG stream is handeld by a C-Cube chip in the AD-N 212. AD-M 512 will use STB Chip for decoding instead. |
