Abit is hoping to gain new market share with its new Siluro GF4 Ti and MX series. The next few weeks should see the launch of the Siluro GF4 Ti4600 and Ti4400 for €439 and €389 respectively. The lower end is served by the 64MB GF4 MX440 card, at a price of roughly €150.

ABIT's new 5.1 speaker system SP70 makes an ideal audio system for Microsoft's Xbox. It connects to the Microsoft AV-rack using an optical digital S/PDIF connector.

AOpen is back! AOpen is using the new GeForce 4 models to make a strong re-entry into the German and European market. Sadly, the new cards lack the popular OpenBios feature, which allowed users to change the chip's voltage and clockspeed. According to AOpen, NVIDIA was adamant about excluding such features from retail boards. Too bad, really! The pictured cards are still pre-production samples which were hastily prepared especially for the CeBIT.

ASUS

ASUS premiered its new "Deluxe" GeForce 4 models. If you were expecting a continuation of the V8200 Deluxe's black-and-gold color scheme you'll be disappointed. The boards are now purple. That color is not just reserved for the Deluxe family, though. Instead, this color will denote the retail boards, i.e. those that come with a software bundle in a real printed box that you'll find on the store shelf. The OEM boards, which come without said carton and may feature only a reduced bundle, will use ASUS's usual brown.

Yet graphics chips weren't the only items of interest at the huge ASUS booth. Among other things, the interested geek/visitor got to gawk over a Vapochill Pentium 4 system running at 3GHz, based exclusively around ASUS components (of course).
