Leadtek was also showing an "experimental" cooling solution at the booth. Again, it is not clear if these coolers will make it onto the shipping products. As it is, Leadtek is selling its cards with enormous heatsinks already.

This card by an unidentifiable Taiwanese manufacturer is based on the SIS 300/301 chipset and is equipped with 64MB of memory. Interesting: It comes with a dual-head option, á la Matrox G400.

Hmm, I wonder what would ELSA have to say about
that?)

Overall, there weren't very many new entries into the videocard arena. Nonetheless the Computex is a highly interesting convention, if only to do some networking and make new contacts. The overall climate was very friendly indeed, and in my opinion the CeBIT has a lot to learn in this respect. Getting recognition as a journalist if you write for an online publication was no problem at all. In fact, a sizeable percentage of the visitors was from the online community.

It was my first Computex visit, so I´ve spent a lot of time on finding out where to go and whom to talk to. Next time I´ll know where I can find the important things... ;-)
