3D Benchmarks

Now for the usual suspects in our 3D benchmark run. The G400 is up against its older sibling, the G400MAX, on the one side and a host of NVIDIA cards on the other: TNT2 Ultra, GeForce2 MX, and GeForce2 GTS (32MB).

DRAKAN

Drakan is a DirectX 6 based game. It doesn’t use multitexturing or other more modern features.

These results are sobering, to say the least. The board comes nowhere near the G400 or the TNT2 Ultra. An MX based card is roughly twice as fast! The G450 can only barely make it past the magical 25FPS barrier in 1024x768-16, but fails miserably in any higher resolution.
