The relations between the two cards in the Direct 3D game Evolva look the same as before in Quake 3. The GeForce 2 Ultra wins in 16 Bit while the new GeForce 3 is on top at high 32Bit resolutions where the cards' memory bandwith is the most important point.
The game Evolva also allows benchmark runs with Dot3 Bump Mapping enabled. Both cards perform almost the same in 16Bit. But GeForce 3 plays in another leage at 32Bit color depth. Itīs almost 50% faster in 1280x1024-32 than the GeForce 2 Ultra. Thatīs really nice! |
