3D Mark 2000 v1.1

Still the same behavior between the two cards in 3DMark 2000. Lower 16Bit performance and superior in 32Bit. Hereīs the detailed result view of MadOnion.comīs 3DMark 2000 v1.1:

The situation looks pretty weird. GeForce 3 is a lot faster in the High Detail Game1 benchmarks but it canīt beat the Ultra in Game2. The fillrate scores also look a bit strange: The Ultra is faster in 16Bit and GeForce 3 almost doubles the multitexturing fillrate numbers in 32Bit. An indicator that the new memory interface of the GeForce 3 works pretty fine !? A surprise are the low polygon count numbers. The GeForce 3īs T&L capabilities should be a lot better than the GeForce 2īs. Drivers are still Beta so letīs see what we will get with the final equipment.

A nice surprise (I did not read anything about that in any marketing papers yet) is that the GeForce 3 does support Environmental Bump Mapping like Matroxīs G400/G450 and ATiīs RADEON.
