3dfx Voodoo5 5500 AGP And its a tie! Surprise! Maybe, just maybe, we can see Win98SE have a miniscule performance lead. Yes, it helps if you squint. :o) GeForce2 64 (3DPII-64 - 220/366) The GF2 results are once again within the margin of error, so we cant award the lead to either OS.
Above is a table with 3DMark2000 results at 1024x786-16 (standard benchmark). An interesting point to note when comparing the two video cards: The V5 is faster than the GeForce2 in the 32MB and 64 MB rendering tests, while it is noticeably slower in the bump mapping tests. The disadvantage due to the lack of a T&L unit is as obvious as it is expected. Both cards score lower in the game benchmarks under WinME . |
